Bolt (sparrow) Trap

Subject: Bolt Trap?

This is in reply to Doug Snook, who said "hopefully you are getting a Bolt trap." Could you please explain a Bolt trap and where I can get this. The trap I sent off for today was a trap from Steve Gilbertson in MN. If this trap you are speaking of is better, please tell me how and how much it will cost. (Honestly I'm willing to spend to get rid of those sparrows). Thanks in advance!

Mel Bolt has authorized another entity to produce his trap. This is a small cage that fits inside the nest box with a Huber type mechanism to spring the trap. The HOSP is in the cage once it enters. The entire trap and HOSP can then be removed for disposal.

Here is the location of the producer.

 Doug,

I would be very interested in this. The website you gave me below won't
work. I keep getting Cannot Find Server errors. Is this the
only place where this trap can be found? The cage trap sounds easier than
what I ordered. Thanks for all your help! This list is a Godsend. :)

Hello Linda

The Bolt Trap is manufactured by Dave Magness and his company is named Jennabird. The URL is http://www.jennabird.com. Dave also makes many other outstanding quality products. Please take a look at his website.
